Land Ledger

See how a piece of land has changed hands.

Sellers record each transfer. Communities confirm what they witnessed. Anyone with a reference number can read the record and its history, with the names of the people involved shortened to initials.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    A seller records the transfer

Who sold to whom, when, and where the land is. A flat fee pays for the record. The buyer gets an email to confirm it.

  2. Step 2

    A community can confirm it

A registered community that witnessed the sale can attest it. An attested record carries more weight than one a seller filed alone.

  3. Step 3

    Anyone can read the history

Each record links to the one before it, and a fingerprint shows if history was changed. A buyer can check a plot before paying for it.

Is the ledger honest?

Every day the ledger publishes a fingerprint of that day's entries. Keep a copy and you can check later that nothing changed.
